TESTIMONIALS FROM PAST GUESTS

M.O. , New Haven, Connecticut:
A perfect apartment for those who wish to imbed themselves in Parisian lifestyle. Boulangeries, fromageries, and cafes are just around the corner and the neighborhood deserves to be explored. The apartment is cozy and fashionable. Everything you need is there, but you might not use it all because the streets are too tempting. Regardless, it is a great place to come home to and relax after a day of walking, shopping, eating, etc. ***

P.M. , Santa Monica, California:
The apartment was perfect. The right size, the right location.  An instant home. ***

C. & P.D. , Greece:
Our stay in Paris was wonderful and the apartment is truly a welcoming home that contributed in making it easy, comfortable and pleasant. ***

P. & T. , Portland, Oregon:
Both the well-located, comfortable apartment and the lively, colorful neighborhood offered all that we needed. Bookshelves full of great insights and ideas enhanced our memorable visit to Paris, but it was hard to go beyond the neighborhood! ***

C.S. , San Diego, California:
Our stay at your Paris flat was wonderful and is highly recommended. The neighborhood is truly Parisian with few tourists and lots of small shops and restaurants. The Rue Montorgueil, the major pedestrian street running through the district, is fun to walk just to look at the shops. Some date back to the 18th century. We enjoyed the neighborhood so much that we made a point of dining only at the local restaurants during our week's stay. They were all delightful. Pigz was especially good and is highly recommended for its delicious food.

The flat could not be more conveniently located. Each morning we got up and one of us went out to Stohrers, the historic pâtisserie, and bought chocolate-filled croissants which we devoured with our morning coffee in the flat. Then it was off for a day of seeing the glorious sights. The flat is walking distance to the Louvre and other nearby worthwhile locations, but for those who wish to take the excellent underground, there are nearby Metro stops.  We heard virtually no street noise in the flat so we could rest comfortably and peacefully after a long day of walking the beautiful streets of Paris. ***

P.T. , Danville, California:
We are absolutely delighted with your apartment, which is just as you described it (not always the case). We can see that a lot of care went into making it comfortable, convenient and at the same time homey. And the location would be hard to beat.  My wife grew up in Paris and we thought that we knew all of the quartiers, but we did not know this one.  We really enjoy all of the food shops and local restaurants. I expect that we will be coming back next year if you are still renting. ***

A.K. and J.P.M, Vancouver, B.C.
This is about as good as it gets … truly affordable accommodation in a great neighborhood that lets you walk to wherever, and then come home to some great restaurants that are “just downstairs”.‘Tis quiet, comfortable, well appointed, clean, and, all of the above all over again, and you don’t need a bank loan to rent the place. We’ve been there twice in the past 6 months and love it, and will be going back again and again.***

I.S. , San Diego, California:
It was such a treat to live and shop like a Parisien during our stay in Paris.  A real treat for me rather than staying in my usual hotels.  Of course I will be happy to refer anyone who wants this kind of experience in Paris.  My best recommendation is, "I hope I can do it again sometime soon." ***

J.O. , Brisbane, Australia:
We had a wonderful time in Paris and your apartment was lovely. It has everything you would need.  Your detailed instructions and information in the apartment book are very handy. We frequented many of the restaurants in the area and also cooked some meals.  We also found the local market shopkeepers friendly and obliging. We struggle with our French but they were happy to assist us. We would thoroughly recommend your apartment to anyone visiting Paris.  The area is also very central as we walked to the Department Stores and down to the Louvre. It is also handy with Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est on the line as we went to London by train and also did a day trip to Champagne. It was easy to get the train to and from the Airport and this was the cheapest way to do it. ***

W.M. , Bathurst, Australia:
We loved your apartment and would love to visit again. Would recommend it to anyone - wonderful location, being so close to the subway and walking distance to the Louvre and Pompidou Centre! I couldn't believe my eyes when we arrived - straight from the plane after 47 hours awake!  It was like a dream - all those little shops and cafes and coloured awnings!!!!! Beautiful! ***

K.J. , San Diego, California
Your apartment made our stay in Paris wonderful. I have never had a more delightful time in Paris, and the location and quality of the apartment made the difference. I have recommended to all my friends that they stay at your delightful apartment the next time they travel to Paris. ***

J.T. , Dorset, England
A cool quiet refuge from the noisy streets. ***

S.P. , Florida
Thank you! I want to tell you again how much we enjoyed your apartment. It is comfortable and well-equipped—plus being located next to a great market street. I’ve been complaining ever since I got home about having to go to the grocery store—I really just want to pop down to the Quartier Montorgueil to do my shopping. The apartment was wonderful, very comfortable, great location. We will certainly be back. ***

M.M. , San Diego, California
Anyone who wants to experience the "real" Paris will love this place. We adored the shops and restaurants right on the pedestrian only street below the apartment. The location is central to all the museums and other great sites of the city but yet you can come home for a respite and feel like you are living as a Parisien. The apartment is well equipped for those of us accustomed to modern fixtures and comfort. I'm ready to return this month. ***

G.P. , Morton, Illinois
I was very happy with the comfort and convenience of your apartment. The location is excellent. The ambience is certainly that of a residential neighborhood. The Montorgueil neighborhood is lined with the shops people need every day. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants to choose from, as well as several shops that sell prepared food to take home. I thought the fresh flowers were a nice touch. ***

J.P. , San Diego, California
Location, location, location and a great value. What more can you say about this wonderful apartment. Walk to wonderful museums, terrific places to eat and live like the locals. When you get up in the morning, grab a couple of croissants and back to the apartment to plan your daily adventure in Paris. . . ***

L.M. Argeliers, France
We had a lovely time in Paris, accented by our stay in your apartment.   It is a very welcoming and comfortable environment – and allowed us to relax thoroughly after each busy day.  Our stay went much too fast…!! ***

K.B. San Diego, California
Our week in Paris was wonderful. Montorgueil was the best neighborhood, we couldn't have been in a more perfect spot. The photographer/friend we did several walks with LOVED our street and took lots of pictures. The apartment was great and although it was small for 4, we did well.

We loved the evening we bought salads and breads at Stohrer's, cheese at the Fromagerie, veges and fruit at the street market, wine at the wine store, all within steps of the apartment and made the yummiest dinner ever! ***

J.R. , UK
We enjoyed our stay very much.  The only difficulty we experienced was my own fault when I got in a bit of a tangle with the one way traffic system.  However, all's well that ends well.

The apartment suited us just fine. Comprehensive information and we felt very much at home. We have been coming to Paris for a number of years and are likely to come again. Thank you for the flowers. Phillipe's briefing was also excellent. ***

D.S. , San Diego
I love staying in your apartment which is why I've returned more than once. I've grown enchanted with the neighborhood. Previously I had stayed in quite a few different arrondissements around Paris, but never in the 2e. If I could afford a Paris apartment now, I would buy in your building or certainly in your neighborhood. Don't ever stop renting, please. ***

E.W. , Thousand Oaks, California
We had a wonderful time, the apartment is exactly what is needed for a comfortable stay, and Montorgueil is an amazing quartier with so much to do and so many excellent small businesses. Paris weather was just about perfect and everything came together to make our 18-day stay truly memorable. ***

M.S. , Lake Orion, Michigan
We found the apt to be ideal to gain a feel for living the Parisian lifestyle. The apartment location the Montorgueil neighborhood was next to wonderful shops, bakeries and restaurants and was within walking distance of many wonderful sites such as the Louvre. The Metro was only a block away. We still think fondly of our week living like Parisians. . . ***

A.E. & S.E.
Your small but perfectly formed apartment had everything we hoped for, including style, and was well equipped, especially with cds and dvds, and Paris guidebooks! Its position was ideal - a few minutes walk to Pont Neuf and Notre Dame, or to the Galerie Vivienne and the Palais Royal, and immediate Metro links in all directions. The Quartier Montorgueil itself was always busy and interesting, and had everything we could want.***

C.S., Heidelberg, Germany
I want to thank you for having such a lovely apartment in a marvelous area of Paris. I had a delightful and grand time eating our way through Paris. You certainly made a wise choice in selecting your apartment as its location is fabulous.***

L. & H,, Thousand Oaks , CA
We loved the apartment. Charming, with all one needs. Great location. We’ll be back! P.S. L’Epicerie, on rue Montorgueil is a great restaurant. Nothing like Paris pastries, the Best of the Best!! Forget the calories…***

C. & A. Y., Lake Worth , FL
We have been to Paris many times, but we have never stayed anywhere near as elegant, quiet and interesting. Everything is at hand, the neighborhood is wonderful and the people are so friendly and helpful. We had a grand time and hope to return next spring. ***

T., Stratford Upon Avon , UK
Lovely week. Apartment has everything needed for a short stay. Local people and shops friendly. Cancale better for lunch – Centre Ville is good for nightcap. On rue Honore we found a great restaurant with food from Lyon called Le Petit Marchon opposite Louvre. Metros great, though very busy. ***

H. W., Jersey City , NJ
We adore Paris – plain and simple. It is the most beautiful city in the world and having our own apartment right in the middle of it all was PERFECTION. I loved falling out of bed and popping downstairs for fresh bread. Three weeks was not enough time!! Thanks for your wonderful collection of books – I enjoyed them all.***

K. C. and J. G., California
Of course we love Paris ! And what a wonderful way to live here in a comfy apartment in the midst of a welcoming neighborhood. Roasting chickens next door – almost – actually around the corner but they smelled sooo good each morning and were delicious to bring home. Fruit, fresh and juicy at the market next to fish, great fresh fish and next vegetables that called out to me each morning when I went for our Herald Tribune to read of the loss of our retirement stash. And I must mention Maison Collet up the street for our favorite loaves of dark, dark bread and petite pain for breakfast. The Metro at Les Halles was easy and there is a city beneath the park there. We walked 5-6 hours a day to museums, Pere Lachaise Cemetary and the sights, the sights, We loved being here ad are so grateful for the change to get to know Paris from the inside-out.***

S.& K. A.
This is a real gem! We are delighted to have discovered your Parisian hideaway and feel sure this will become somewhere we return regularly – if you will have us and if we can get in. For us, living in the South of France we have plenty of sunshine so it was quite a treat to wrap up warm and walk the streets – actually we’re going home to give our legs a rest! Your apartment is ideally situated – right in the heart of the city but quiet, peaceful with all the amenities close at hand. We are fortunate to have been here leading up to Christmas and have enjoyed the elegant street lighting – notably Les Champs Elysees and the tastefully decorated department stores. Merci beaucoup et a bientot.***
